As an avid SCUBA diver and underwater photographer as well as a physician, Dr. Vandemoer trained for practice as a Diving Medicine Specialist on the UHMS NOAA Diving Medicine course.

Dr. Vandemoer's extensive experience in practicing and teaching Diving Medicine as well as his association with the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary hyperbaric chamber has allowed him to treat patients with diving medical diseases in the most up to date manner. He regularly teaches diving medicine to physicians around the globe and is a consultant for the hyperbaric chamber department at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary for diving injuries.
